IYF RADIO SPECIFIC IYF Radio is no longer on KPLS. This page will be updated when a new home station is contracted. IYF Radio is an independently produced program aired 5 - 7 pm on KPLS AM 830. KPLS is a 50,000 watt station broadcasting throughout the expansive and much sought after "LA Market". KPLS coverage includes the Counties of Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside. Evening broadcasts are 20,000 watts. Saturday 5 - 7 pm is rated AA and is the desired evening drive time. IYF's hour is located when the roads are busiest with people returning from work, recreational activities, mid-day shopping, and families beginning their evening dining /entertainment plans. The carryover weekday program from the KPLS 5 - 7 pm time slot is the very popular Michael Savage Nationally Syndicated Radio Program. Also, IYF Radio is available to all with internet access through the LISTEN LIVE * feature off the World Wide Web at www.iyfradio.com. Media Post The radio format study from Scarborough Research reveals that older adults are setting their dials to the News/Talk radio format. The Median age of listeners is 52, and almost a quarter (24%) of News/Talk listeners are ages 45 - 54. Adults between the ages of 55 and 64 are 47% more likely to listen to the format and seniors 65+ are 50% more likely to tune in. The study also reveals better-educated and affluent individuals are more likely to be News/Talk radio listeners. Over half (52%) of listeners are white-collar workers. Individuals with postgraduate degrees are 82% more likely to tune in than the market average, and 37% of people who have a household income of $250, 000 or more listen to the News/Talk radio format. |
